With the average wedding in the UK now costing over £26,500* it may surprise you just how much cheaper it is, and how much more you get for your money, when you get hitched in Las Vegas.

We tied the knot ourselves in October 2024 surrounded by our family and friends as a group of 14 adults. Our group was made up of experienced Vegas visitors, some who had been once or twice before, some who hadn’t been for many years and those who were visiting for the very first time.
It may surprise you to hear that we paid less as a group including the flights, hotels, stag and hen do’s, the wedding and wedding reception than the cost of an average UK wedding (not including gambling!).
The Wedding Reception itself with our own private room, waiting staff, food and FREE bar (alcohol, soft drinks, hot drinks) was less than £100 per person including all gratuities – Try finding a venue in the UK that can offer you all that for less than £100pp!
We all flew out together on a direct flight from Gatwick to Las Vegas and stayed in the same 4* hotel directly opposite the Bellagio Fountains.

We had our Stag and Hen do’s in Vegas over two days. Highlights included…photo’s at the Welcome to Vegas Sign, Buffet Breakfast, Escape Rooms (boys v girls), an Elvis themed tour of Vegas including an Elvis Show, Carnival games, The Hangover Bar and Hangover film scene photo opportunities, Golf, Cocktails and a trip downtown to see the World Famous Fremont Street where we rode the Zipline and partied the night away drinking and gambling in the newest downtown 5 star hotel.
My wife is absolutely obsessed with Elvis so where better to get married than in Las Vegas at the Graceland Wedding Chapel with ‘the King’ himself conducting the ceremony.

On the wedding day itself…the girls had their make-up done while the boys had wet towel shaves, a stretch limo took the girls to a lovely little Chapel where we got married by Elvis (live streamed on Facebook for all our friends and family back home) before dropping them back for the most wonderful reception in an Italian Restaurant right on the Las Vegas strip within out own wood paneled private room, dedicated waiting staff, a stunning four course meal and a FREE Bar. We rounded the night off drinking $1 Budweisers in a dive bar 100 yards from our hotel before my wife and I retired to the only Elvis themed hotel room in Las Vegas for our Wedding night.
The perfect end to the perfect day!
We had an absolute blast and I’ll let you know all the money saving tricks, vouchers we used and short cuts we took to ensure we had the wedding, and the holiday, we’ll all be talking about for many years to come!
